In the year 1986, James River Capital a private Company was established, in 58 street Richmond, Virginia. It served as an alternative investment department of Peabody Company and kidder. In 1995 James River became independent after Paul Saunders, and Kevin Brandt acquired kidder business through Paine Webber. In July 1st, 2018, and after registration as an investment advisor with the secretary and commodity pool operator with CFTC the company had over $570 million under its management.
